Aliyu Baffale Sambo is a retired civil servant with 35 years meritorious service to the nation at different levels and capacities. He holds BA (Hons) in Geography, MSc in Urban & Regional Planning (NITP, RTP). Sambo is a professional urban and regional planner, member of the Nigerian institute of town planners, a registered town planner/council member of the town planners registration council with over two decades of practical experience in all aspects of planning administration. He acquired broad experience in parliamentary administration and procedures as a legislative officer of the National Assembly and as head of the secretariats of the regional council for Africa of the global parliamentarians on habitat (RCA-GPH) and regional parliamentary committee on Lake Chad basin (RPCLB) Sambo has extensive experience in emergency and disaster risk management as head of NEMA North East zonal office; pioneer head of disaster risk reduction department and director of departments of training and relief & rehabilitation. He has experience in working with UN/development partners supported programmes and projects.
